My Dementia Tribe
JENNI DILL
Personal Life Engagement!
Quite simply life engagement is the act of bringing purpose and joy to persons living with memory loss. As dementia progresses engaging in a life skill or routine task becomes increasingly challenging, and seniors benefit from the support of someone who can adapt activities so they can continue to feel a sense of accomplishment, success and enjoyment.

Our Tribe addresses the seven domains of well-being as defined by the Eden Alternative: identity, connectedness, security, autonomy, meaning, growth, and joy. We do this through a variety of weekly adventures such as visiting parks, taking hikes, visiting museums, grabbing coffee, expressive art projects, working with children, and much more.

Our approach puts the person living with dementia at the center of all we do. Purposeful and meaningful engagement is as unique as each individual. We tailor each adventure to the individuals'
interests, preferences, and strengths by using creativity and flexibility to create an environment where purpose can flourish

What to expect?
I will pick your loved one up from your home in the morning and likely head off to pick up a few other new friends along the way. We will spend our time together taking walks, enjoying good food, visiting local museums or parks, interacting with children, and finding beauty, curiosity and joy together. I ensure that members stay hydrated, take bathroom breaks, rest when needed, and create meaning and purpose while getting engage with life! Typically, our adventures run from 9:00 am-1:00 pm giving you a chance to catch your breath and take care of yourself for a bit. My services are offered at $40/hr (less than most non-medical home care service providers). For adventures that include a meal at a restaurant, admission to a museum, park, or driving long-distance members contribute an additional $20 to cover those costs.
